Jayson Tatum to score 35+ points (+260)

Jayson Tatum’s name was removed from the MVP conversation a while ago, which is a bit unfair as I think he deserves to be in the mix. The Celtics have the 2nd-best record in the NBA and he is averaging over 30 points per game and close to 9 boards. He has a chance to add to his case tonight if he can perform against another MVP candidate in Giannis Antetokounmpo. He already has a 41-point game under his belt against the Bucks this season — he shot 63% when Boston won by 21 on Christmas Day. Tatum has been hovering over the 35+ point line quite a lot lately and in 3 of his last 5 games he’s put up 34, 36 and 34 points. Against the Bucks he has dropped 40+ twice in the last 3 regular-season meetings and with both games between these teams having a 40-point scorer this season, I think Tatum will fill it up once again. It’s also worth mentioning the Bucks are playing on the second night of a back-to-back and there could be some tired legs out there on defense.

Giannis Antetokounmpo to record 12+ rebounds (-125)

Giannis Antetokounmpo has cleared this line twice in the last 4 meetings with the Celtics and he’s coming off a 17-rebound game in the win over the Indiana Pacers last night. He’s averaging 11.2 boards in his last 10 outings and that number would have been a lot higher if it wasn’t for a few Bucks blowout wins leading to him leaving the game early. We’re expecting a tight game against Boston tonight, and with the meetings earlier this season producing 257 and 256 points I think it’s natural to assume another high-paced game will be played. That should benefit everyone’s stats, including the Greek Freak’s. Boston is a bottom-10 team in the NBA when it comes to opponent rebounds in road games this season, allowing 53.2 per game. The news of Robert Williams III being questionable for tonight’s game should also be taken into consideration and if the Celtics are thin on the inside Giannis could have a field day rebounding.
