A full 15-game schedule is on the docket for Wednesday as another week in Major League Baseball keeps chugging along. It includes 6 afternoon specials, as many teams are wrapping up their series and then heading on the road to begin new ones on Thursday or Friday. Wednesday’s lineup includes an ESPN+ showdown between the Yankees and Blue Jays at 7:07 pm ET, while the Mets are resuming a 3-game series against the Rays. Below is my MLB mega parlay, and also be sure to check out all of our MLB picks.

Nationals ML (+112)

Brewers -1.5 (+136)

Braves -1.5 (+120)

MLB parlay odds: +1001

For this parlay, we are going with 1 favorite on the run line and 2 underdogs on the money line. Let’s break down each of the 3 legs.

Washington Nationals ML over Miami Marlins (+112)

Let’s just get it out of the way that the Nationals do not have high standards. That being, by their lowly standards they are actually playing decent baseball. Since beginning the season 5-13, the Nats are over .500 at 13-11 for a total record of 18-24. Mackenzie Gore is taking the mound on Wednesday and that is good news for Washington. The 24-year-old southpaw is 3-2 with a 3.29 ERA and 51 strikeouts in 41.0 innings.

Miami is countering with Edward Cabrera, who is 2-3 with a 5.35 ERA and 1.67 WHIP. Cabrera has made 4 straight starts without pitching more than 5.0 innings while allowing 13 runs during this stretch. The Marlins have scored the fewest runs in the National League in 2023, so Cabrera is used to getting little run support. His team has crossed the plate no more than 3 times in 5 of his 8 starts this season. At plus-money odds, a Washington outright win has great value.

Milwaukee Brewers -1.5 over St. Louis Cardinals (+136)

Corbin Burnes vs Adam Wainwright is a pitching matchup we have seen on many occasions and at this point in time it heavily favors Burnes and the Brewers. He is 4-2 with a 3.35 ERA and has made 3 quality starts in a row. In fact, the right-hander hasn’t had a poor outing since his season opener. On the other hand, Wainwright is 41 years old and may have stuck around 1 year too long. Returns are early, but a 7.20 ERA and 1.70 WHIP through 2 appearances is far from encouraging.

Christian Yelich’s status is in question due to a back issue, but he has 3 multi-hit performances in his last 4 games with 3 home runs during this stretch. It would be a big boost if he is in the lineup, but either way, Burnes should be able to limit the Cardinals enough for the Brew Crew to win by multiple runs.

Atlanta Braves -1.5 over Texas Rangers (+120)

Basically, everyone on the Braves’ pitching staff is injured other than Spencer Strider. Okay, that’s somewhat of an exaggeration; but they really are banged up. Whenever Strider toes the rubber, Atlanta really needs to win. And it should win big on Wednesday. Strider is 4-1 with a 2.51 ERA and 0.92 WHIP to go along with 79 strikeouts in 46.2 innings. That’s right; 79 strikeouts in 46.2 innings. Unsurprisingly, the Braves have won all but 1 of his 8 starts so far this year. Even against an in-form Nathan Eovaldi, a powerful Atlanta lineup should be able to do some damage. The visitors have crossed the plate 21 times in their last 3 games, including a 12-0 rout of the Rangers on Monday. Give me ATL on the run line.
