The week in Major League Baseball continues with a more than full 16-game slate on Tuesday. Philadelphia vs Washington was rained out yesterday, so they will play a doubleheader. Today’s schedule also includes Houston at Baltimore (7:05 pm ET on TBS), St. Louis at Tampa Bay and the Dodgers at Arizona. Below is my MLB mega parlay for Tuesday, and also be sure to check out all of our MLB picks in addition to our MLB YRFI/NRFI best bets as we look to improve on our 11-5 run.

Miami Marlins -1.5 over Cincinnati Reds (+114)
The Marlins dropped the opener of this series on Monday, but they should be able to turn the tide today and even things up. Their advantage in game 2 comes in the form of pitching, as Luke Weaver of the Reds is basically an automatic fade these days. Weaver’s ERA is through the roof, and while he takes the ball every fifth day for the Reds (something few of their young pitchers have been able to do), he rarely gives them 5.0 innings and almost always gives up big numbers. When it comes to the line of 5.0 innings with 3 runs or fewer allowed, Weaver has accomplished that feat only twice in his last 10 starts. For the Fish, Braxton Garrett has limited opponents to just 3 earned runs in his last 2 outings (11.0 total innings).

Houston Astros -1.5 over Baltimore Orioles (+130)
The last time Framber Valdez took the mound, he threw a no-hitter. That’s right; Valdez blanked Cleveland during a 2-0 victory exactly a week ago, walking 1 and striking out 9. Baltimore may not be as easy to shut down, but the good news is that Valdez should be fine even if he gives up a few runs tonight. After all, Grayson Rodriguez is toeing the rubber for the Orioles and he is 2-3 with a 6.09 ERA. Yordan Alvarez is batting .333 with 2 dingers over the past 7 days and should be among those who victimize Rodriguez on Tuesday.

Chicago Cubs -1.5 over New York Mets (+120)
The Cubs are the winningest team in baseball since the all-star break and have scored more runs than anyone during this stretch. At the other end of the spectrum are the Mets, who had lost 6 games in a row prior to last night’s victory scored 3 runs or fewer in 5 of those 6 losses. Look for Chicago to bounce back on Tuesday and restore order. Jameson Taillon is taking the mound for the Cubs and he has been stellar of late. Taillon has allowed 2 runs or fewer in 4 of his last 5 starts. New York is countering with Carlos Carrasco, who has surrendered 21 runs in his past 4 outings. The Mets’ bullpen is depleted at the moment, too, so all signs point to them losing on Tuesday – and probably by multiple runs.
