Baltimore Orioles -1.5 over Cleveland Guardians (+135)
Cleveland’s Cal Quantrill ranks in just the 15th percentile in xBA and the 14th percentile in xSLG this season, while his 39.2% hard-hit rate is a career-worst mark. His strikeout rate has fallen to a measly 12.8%, ranking in the 4th percentile. His 5.4% K-BB% is the 7th-lowest among pitchers with at least 40.0 innings pitched. Despite a 4.75 ERA not looking pretty, his 5.01 FIP and 5.51 xERA are both worse numbers – and the worst he has ever produced, in fact. The Orioles haven’t been as hot against right-handed pitching as they were at the beginning of 2023, but they are still 12th in ISO and have a wRC+ of 97 against RHPs in May. The combination of Kyle Gibson on the mound and the Orioles’ bats should be enough for them to prevail by multiple runs.

Chicago White Sox -1.5 over LA Angels (+140)
Lucas Giolito is pitching in the friendly confines of Guaranteed Rate Field for the White Sox on Tuesday. At home, it’s tough to pick against him. The right-hander is sporting a 2.27 ERA and a 0.88 WHIP at home while limiting the opponents to a .202 batting average. Giolito has allowed more than 2 runs only once in those 5 efforts. On the road, he is saddled with a 5.68 ERA and opposing batters are hitting .292 off him in such situations. The 28-year-old will feed the Angels a steady diet of fastballs, sliders and changeups – which should work well for him since the Los Angeles lineup ranks below average against fastballs and sliders. Los Angeles is countering with Tyler Anderson, who has a 4.81 ERA paired with a 4.99 xERA and a 1.56 WHIP. From last season to this one he was seen his strikeout rate go from 19.5% to 13.6% and his walk rate go from 4.8% to 10.5%. Give me the White Sox to cover the run line.

Minnesota Twins ML over Houston Astros (-115)
The Twins pulled off a 7-5 victory in 10 innings on Monday, so they have momentum heading into this one. They should be feeling even better about themselves with Joe Ryan taking the mound. Ryan is 7-1 with a 2.21 ERA and 0.95 WHIP in addition to 70 strikeouts across 61.0 innings over 10 starts, plus he has quality starts in 7 of his last 8 outings. He picked up a win on April 8 in his first appearance against the Astros, allowing 4 runs, 3 hits and a walk while tying a season-best with 10 strikeouts over 6.0 innings. The Astros are starting right-hander Brandon Bielak. Houston is 1-3 in his 4 starts this season. This is a good opportunity for the visitors to record another win.
