Pickswise was nice enough to give me the opportunity to write my plays up for you all. For those of you who don’t know me, they refer to me as JutPicks on Twitter. I post all my plays with brief write-ups every day. Now I get to write even more with no character limit!
I pride myself in being as transparent as they come. My NBA record from last season and this season are listed in my bio alongside my MLB record. Without further ado, let’s dive into my favorite plays for the NBA Playoffs on Tuesday.
Joel Embiid (PHI) over 25.5 points (-110)
Line available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing.
Joel Embiid has brought the Philadelphia 76ers right back into this series. In his absence, the 76ers struggled to compete and went down 2-0 in the series. Embiid came back in games 3 and 4 and instantly made an impact on both ends of the court. The 76ers fought back and evened up the series on their way to Game 5 in Miami against the Heat tonight.
Embiid scored 24 points in Game 4 and was held scoreless in the 4th. He missed makeable shots and seemed to settle down late in the game. This had a lot to do with teammate James Harden taking over and Embiid taking a backseat.
The MVP was announced on Monday and Embiid unfortunately did not win. I believe we’ll see an angry Embiid and for him to carry the 76ers to a victory in one of the most important games of his career.
The Kansas product is over this line in 28 of his last 30 games away from Philadelphia. With no minutes restriction, Embiid has the potential to cash this prop for us in only 3 quarters.

Chris Paul (PHX) over 16.5 points (-110)
Line available at BetMGM Sportsbook at time of publishing.
This has been an eventful series for future Hall of Fame point guard Chris Paul. Paul scored 47 points in the first 2 games at home but went ice cold in games 3 and 4 at Dallas. In Game 4, Paul fouled out with 10 minutes left in the game on his way to scoring only 5 points.
We all know the narrative of Chris Paul. Many say he can’t win the big games and can’t lead teams to championships. Well, this is the perfect opportunity for him to show the world that he can — Game 5, at home, in a tied series. Paul has to show out tonight against the feisty Dallas Mavericks. Superstar Luka Doncic looks unstoppable and is playing with a ton of confidence. Look for Chris Paul to do all he can to lead the Suns to a commanding 3-2 series lead.
Paul is over this line in every home game this postseason and 12 straight when playing at least 30 minutes in Phoenix.
