Pickswise was nice enough to give me the opportunity to write my plays up for you all. For those of you who don’t know me, they refer to me as JutPicks on Twitter. I post all my plays with brief write-ups every day. Now I get to write even more with no character limit!
I pride myself in being as transparent as they come. My NBA record from last season and this season are listed in my bio alongside with my MLB and NFL record. Currently, for the 2021-2022 season, our NBA record stands at 37-28 +6.62 units. Without further ado, let’s dive into my favorite plays for Friday:
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander over 33.5 points + rebounds + assists (-110)

The 23 year old point guard is the undoubted leader of this Thunder squad. He is coming off an injury plagued season but still accomplished career numbers in every major statistical category. SGA’s numbers are down slightly but he is still averaging around 32.5 PRA per game.
Tonight he faces the Sacramento Kings. On Wednesday I targeted Spurs point guard Dejounte Murray against this same Kings team. The Kings not only play extremely fast but also allow the most points to point guards in the league. Murray put up an impressive 26 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists. These are very similar stat lines to what Alexander has done this year and what I believe he will do against the Kings tonight.
SGA has gone over this total in 6 of 10 games and is averaging .92 PRA per minute. I have him at around 35-37 minutes.

Will Barton over 24.5 points + rebounds + assists (-115)

Barton has stepped up in big ways with the absence of Jamal Murray, Michael Porter Jr., and even Nikola Jokic in the Nuggets’ last game. In his last 5 games he is averaging over 30.2 PRA including blowing away this total in the last 4. Barton gets a phenomenal matchup against the Hawks, who allow the most points to shooting guards, and top 5 in 3 pointers allowed, which is Bartons’ specialty (7 and 6 made 3’s in his last 2 games). Atlanta currently ranks in the bottom 5 in defensive efficiency and the Nuggets are going to rely on Barton heavy with key guys out of the lineup.
