MLS: New York City FC ML (-120) vs Inter Miami CF, 1:30pm ET
NYCFC lost some ground in the playoff picture after their scoreless stretch that spanned more than 500 minutes, but they snapped out of that with a vengeance last weekend against DC United, scoring 6 times before winning again this midweek against Chicago. While the offensive explosion will get all the attention, the fact that they’ve won 2 straight games to nil is what’s kept them in the race as their offense hasn’t performed to expectation this season. That defense should be on display again against Miami, the lowest-scoring attack in the East. Take NYCFC on the money line.

College Football: Boston College Eagles vs Syracuse Orange -6 (-115), 3:30pm ET
The Syracuse Orange return home after a gutsy 41-36 comeback win at Virginia Tech. QB Garret Schrader threw for 2 touchdowns in the final 2 and a half minutes to bring the Orange back after trailing by 9 points to shock the Hokies. Syracuse has lost their 3 ACC competitions by a combined 9 points and have looked like a much stronger team with Schrader running the offense, scoring 30 points or more in 3 of their last 4 games.
Syracuse is 7-1 ATS in 2021 and covered in their only game as a favorite this season, a 62-24 win at home against Albany. Additionally, Boston College is just 2-4 ATS in their last 6 games against the Orange. The Eagles’ inability to stop the run will be a point of emphasis as Syracuse is 1st in the ACC in rushing offense, averaging 231.7 rushing yards per game. Expect the Orange to depend on the run game early and cruise to a win.

NBA: New York Knicks -6 (-105) vs New Orleans Pelicans, 7:10pm ET
It’s been a great start to the new season for the New York Knicks as they rank near the top of the Eastern Conference with a 4-1 record so far. Their rivals for the night, the New Orleans Pelicans, are struggling to get any kind of momentum, falling to 1-5 over their first 6 games. Without their leading scorer Zion Williamson, this team simply doesn’t have enough on the offensive end. The Knicks enter tonight’s game as road favorites and it’s for a good reason, the Pelicans are one of the worst teams out the gate in the NBA. Take the Knicks to cover.

NHL: Edmonton Oilers ML (-140) vs Vancouver Canucks, 10:08pm ET
Since opening night, these teams have gone in different directions, with the Oilers winning 4 straight before their first loss on Wednesday and the Canucks never putting more than 2 wins together. The Canucks are currently on a 2-game losing streak, both coming at home during the start to a 7-game home stand.
Don’t expect the Canucks to take advantage of the Oilers defense or to keep scoring pace with them. They rank bottom 10 in goals per game and dead last in expected goals per 60. The Canucks will have to wait to get their first win on home ice. Take the Oilers’ explosive offense to deliver on the money line.
