Just like that we’re approaching the home stretch of conference play, and we have a solid college hoops slate on Thursday. What better way to celebrate than by going for a big payday? That’s right; we’re back with another mega parlay, college basketball edition.
We are going big and bold again, so let’s not waste any more time. But before we dive in, don’t forget to check out our free picks on the side and total for every big NCAAB game.
Arizona State ML (+220)
Ohio State ML (+260)
Parlay odds: +1052
Let’s break down each of the two legs one by one.
Arizona State ML (+220) over Colorado
To start off this mega parlay we have got the Sun Devils. Arizona State has been a big disappointment this season, but it isn’t nearly as bad as you might think. The Sun Devils just got off to a slow start and things spiraled, but they’ve been solid in conference play. They have now won three of their past four games, with two of those three wins coming by at least 20 points. The only loss in that span came on the road against an elite UCLA team.
ASU is great on defense, while Colorado’s offense has the tendency to become stagnant. The Buffaloes are on a mini winning streak, but only because they have played all of the Pac-12’s worst teams. Right before that when they had a little bit tougher stretch, they had lost five of six. Arizona State spreads the ball around well, and the other night against Oregon they had four different guys score at least 16. It’s rare for a team that plays great defense to also be able to do that.
Ohio State ML (+260) over Illinois
Give me Ohio State to wrap up this mega parlay and hopefully bring us home. The Buckeyes have been playing really well recently, going 7-3 in their last 10 games in a brutal Big Ten. Two of those three losses came by three points or fewer and both were on the road. On the flip side, each of their past six wins have come by at least 11. EJ Liddell is one of the best players in the conference; he has scored at least 15 points in 11 of his past 12 games.
On the flip side, Illinois certainly has not looked unbeatable recently — going 2-2 in its past four. Both those losses were by double-digits, including one to a middling Rutgers team. Kofi Cockburn is a beast, but the team isn’t getting too much from the guys around him (outside of a Jacob Grandison explosion the other night).
