The MLB dominates today’s sports action, but there are still plenty of promotions and odds boosts on offer that you can look to take advantage of, including the UFC, CONCACAF Gold Cup and the Olympics, which is now in full swing.
We have put together a list of all of the day’s best boosts, which happen to be from DraftKings Sportsbook, FanDuel Sportsbook and PointsBet Sportsbook today, and whether they are worth playing. Let’s dive in.
Gary Sanchez to hit a home run – Boosted to +425 with DraftKings Sportsbook
Here we will be looking for a home run from Gary Sanchez, and while he has 17 on the year, Nathan Eovaldi being on the mound for the Red Sox makes me hesitant to back this prop. Sanchez has not homered since earlier this week, so with a solid opposing pitcher, I would look to avoid this prop. Be sure to check out our full game preview for this matchup.
Braves vs Phillies: Each team to record at least 1 hit in the first inning – Boosted to +180 with DraftKings Sportsbook
This looks to be a decent odds boost as we will need both teams to record a hit in the first inning. Vince Velasquez will start for the Phillies and has an ERA of 5.00. Note that Freddie Freeman will be batting in the first inning, so a hit does seem likely.
The Braves have Drew Smyly on the mound and while he has been better, his ERA is still 4.50. The Phillies have some big guns at the top of their lineup, so this prop looks to be worth a small play. Be sure to check out our full game preview for this matchup.
Carlos Rodon to strike out the first Brewers batter of the game – Boosted to +210 with DraftKings Sportsbook
Here we will be looking for a strikeout to open the game and Carlos Rodon will be the guy that has to do it. He has 140 strikeouts in 96.2 innings and a K/9 of 13.2. Though he will be facing Kolten Wong, the leadoff man for the Brewers. Wong has struck out only 39 times this season in 217 plate appearances, so this may be an odds boost better to avoid. Be sure to check out our full game preview for this matchup.
Mexico to score in both halves & win – Boosted to +190 with DraftKings Sportsbook
The quarter-finals of the CONCACAF Gold Cup kick off tonight and will see Mexico in action against Honduras. Other than Mexico’s opening game in the group stage against Trinidad & Tobago, Mexico has been pretty efficient. Even so, they have only had one game in which they scored in both halves. Honduras scored seven times in the group stage, while allowing four. They have allowed goals in both halves only once, so this may be an odds boost to avoid. Kevin Durant to score 25+ points & USA to win – Boosted to +240 with DraftKings Sportsbook
This boost is actually for Sunday morning as Team USA will kick off their Olympics campaign against Team France. The French are not to be slept on in this tournament, with players such as Rudy Gobert, but the USA should have enough firepower to get the job done. Kevin Durant is expected to make a major impact for this team and asking him to score at least 25 points is more than reasonable. Even though the USA is loaded with superstars, Devin Booker and Khris Middleton were late arrivals, so look for Durant to score plenty on the way to an opening win. The USA might not cover, but this is an odds boost I would take advantage of. Be sure to check out all our coverage for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Caeleb Dressel to record over 2.5 individual gold medals – Boosted to +110 with PointsBet Sportsbook
Michael Phelps is not in the Olympics this time, but Caeleb Dressel looks to take his place with the amount of gold medals he is expected to contend for. He is favored to win six golds at this Olympics, so at plus money, this looks to be a solid play. Be sure to check out all our coverage for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Cory Sandhagen to win in Round 1, 2, or 3 vs TJ Dillashaw – Boosted to +230 with FanDuel Sportsbook
We like this fight to end inside the distance with the power Cory Sandhagen has, but TJ Dillashaw has plenty too. Sandhagen has won majority of his UFC fights by finish, so a small play on this prop looks to be worth it. Be sure to check out all our UFC picks for tonight’s card.
Washington Nationals, Houston Astros & San Francisco Giants all to win – Boosted to +275 with FanDuel Sportsbook
Here we will need three teams to win their respective games, and our experts like all of them. We actually like all these teams to win on the run line, given their weaker opponents, so backing this parlay looks to be a solid play. Be sure to check out all our MLB picks for today’s action.
