We have a small slate in the NHL tonight with just 3 games. However, we have a couple of great matchups. The most notable is a rematch of last year’s Eastern Conference Finals when the Tampa Bay Lightning head to New York to take on the Rangers. The other early game features 2 great goaltenders in Calgary’s Jacob Markstrom and Winnipeg’s Connor Hellebuyck. Therefore, it’s no surprise that we’ll be focusing on the Edmonton Oilers for our best NHL player prop pick as they face off against the Anaheim Ducks. The prices aren’t quite as expensive with the Oilers now on the road, but any team facing the Ducks will always have inflated odds. That’s because Anaheim has been the worst defensive team throughout the entire year, as they allow the most shots and goals per game.

That was a lot of focus on Anaheim’s struggles because everything under the sun has been said about McDavid. However, it’s worth noting that he is now 3 points away from the first 150-point season since 1995-96. That’s before he was born.
