Show Bio

Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. The NBA brings an 8-game slate for us today. Of those in action to look out for will be the Brooklyn Nets. They take on the Atlanta Hawks with a view of extending their 9-game winning streak, the current longest in the NBA. Out west, the Denver Nuggets will look to extend their own 5-game winning streak and keep the top spot of the conference as they take on the Sacramento Kings for the second straight night.

I hit 3 of my 4 props yesterday, so let’s dive into these selections and see if we can do even better tonight!

Brook Lopez over 1.5 made threes (-115)

The last time that Brook Lopez faced off against the Chicago Bulls he had a very successful night. He finished that game with 20 points, knocking down 3 of 7 from downtown. I expect him to have similar success from the perimeter tonight too. He will be matched up against Nikola Vucevic here, with Lopez playing an important role of spacing the floor so he vacates the paint. That would create space for Giannis Antetokounmpo to attack. Considering Vucevic is not the fastest center, he could struggle to close out to Lopez if he tries to stay inside. The center has knocked down 2 or more 3-pointers in 3 of his last 4 games, making over 40% of them in each. Look for that to continue here.

Anthony Edwards over 2.5 made threes (-120)

Anthony Edwards has been efficient scoring the ball from the perimeter of late. The Minnesota Timberwolves star is making 43.1% of his attempts over the last 10 games. It has allowed him to clear the over on this line in 4 of his last 5 games. The Pelicans should prove to be a favorable opponent too. Over the last 10, they have ranked 27th in opponent 3-point attempts and 24th in opponent 3-pointers made. With Herbert Jones potentially missing tonight’s game too, it could leave Edwards with a much easier matchup. Back the over as a result.

Kevin Huerter over 15.5 points (+100)

You don’t have to look back far to see what happened the last time Kevin Huerter took on the Denver Nuggets. He dropped 21-points against them last night and will have the chance to do so once more tonight. The forward has had to take on more offensively responsibility since Domantas Sabonis has gotten injured. It helps that the Nuggets are not great defensively either. They currently rank 23rd in the league in defensive rating. Their focus will be to slow down De’Aaron Fox tonight, allowing someone like Huerter to step up as the second option. Considering he has scored over 20 points in 2 of his last 3 games, he should be ready to assume the mantle.
