There are just 3 games on the NBA slate tonight, but each is definitely worth our attention, none more so than the encounter between the Los Angeles Lakers and Cleveland Cavaliers. While the reception LeBron James receives in Cleveland has certainly softened throughout the years, it is always fun to see him return to his former team.
You can find our full NBA predictions for every game. But for now check out my NBA player prop selections below.
Russell Westbrook over 7.5 assists (+108)
Los Angeles Lakers point guard Russell Westbrook is really starting to settle into his role as the leader of the Lakers’ bench unit. He has recorded double-digit assists in each of his last 2 games. That includes a season-high 15 against the Washington Wizards in his last outing. The Cavaliers allow the 2nd-fewest points in the paint due to the rim protection Evan Mobley provides. That should encourage Westbrook to dish the ball out when he gets into the paint. Look for him to also push the pace and get out in transition, looking to beat the Cavaliers bigs down the floor. If he can get the hosts to collapse on him, he should once again find himself with passing opportunities.

Killian Hayes over 10.5 points (-102)
Since an offensive outburst in a recent game against the Phoenix Suns, Killian Hayes has been confident scoring the ball. He has scored 11 or more points in 5 straight games, attempting double-digit field goal attempts in each. While he is facing a team in the top 10 in defensive rating in the Miami Heat, he will likely be going up against Kyle Lowry. Considering his age, Lowry could have trouble staying in front of Hayes tonight. The Pistons guard has shown an ability to knock down Chris Paul-esque pull-up jumpers from the elbows. If he can do the same tonight and avoid the paint, it would limit how much Bam Adebayo can affect his shots.

Tim Hardaway Jr. over 3.5 made threes (+145)
Dallas Mavericks forward Tim Hardaway Jr. has been playing lights-out in the last few games. He has knocked down 5 or more shots from deep in 4 straight games, shooting above 40% from beyond the arc in each. He is averaging 12 attempts per game from 3-point range in December and if he can get to a similar number tonight, this line should hit. The Denver Nuggets are not the best side at defending the arc either, ranking 19th in opponent 3-point percentage. With Luka Doncic drawing most of the defensive attention, look for Hardaway Jr. to step up and space the floor for the Mavericks. Back him to keep his hot start to December going.
