Two Game 6’s lead the slate on Thursday. The Philadelphia 76ers and Denver Nuggets have a chance to be the first two teams to stamp their names in their respective conference championships. P.J. Tucker has a winners mentality that the 76ers have been needing for years. Meanwhile, Nikola Jokic looks unstoppable against the Suns. Tucker and Jokic headline our top NBA player prop bets.

P.J. Tucker (PHI) Over 9.5 Pts/Rebs/Asts (-120)
Line available at BetMGM Sportsbook at time of publishing.
P.J. Tucker has a chance to make his fourth conference championship with four different teams. He already has a ring with the Milwaukee Bucks and has been an integral part of assisting the 76ers to where they are today. James Harden taking a pay cut helped land Tucker in Philadelphia and it has paid dividends.
NBA player prop bettors know Tucker as someone who just sits in the corner and waits for his opportunity. However, Tucker is more than just that. The 76ers have needed someone of Tucker’s toughness ever since Joel Embiid stepped foot in Philadelphia. He gives them tenacious energy that is unmatched and is a great rebounder, reeling in 7 rebounds alone in Game 5.
Boston has to do something on offense to draw Embiid out of the paint. He’s creating havoc for everyone including Jayson Tatum when he drives. Similar to what the Golden State Warriors did to Anthony Davis, the Celtics need to get Embiid out on the perimeter. This should open up weak-side rebounds for Tucker once again, as he had 14 rebounding chances to Embiid’s 11.
From a scoring standpoint, Tucker provides a corner specialist and someone that can get behind the defense with the attention on James Harden. Tucker shoots 42% from the three-point line at home. In comparison, he shoots 36% on the road. We’ve seen that Boston is content with letting Tucker take threes, so him hitting just one could cash this for us. Tucker is over this line in 6 of 7 games this postseason when Embiid plays, including every game at home.

Nikola Jokic (DEN) Over 29.5 Points (-115)
Line available at BetMGM Sportsbook at time of publishing.
Phoenix has done nothing to stop Nikola Jokic all series long. Whether it’s his scoring, his playmaking, or his work on the offensive glass, he’s impossible to stop. Deandre Ayton has had an interesting series, to say the least. He’s getting manhandled by Jokic and then getting called out by teammates, which he hasn’t taken too kindly. What do the Suns do? Denver is surrounded by shotmakers, which is a big reason they’re the current betting favorite to hoist the trophy.
Jokic is getting whatever shot he wants on the floor. Phoenix has to live with him shooting the 3-pointer, but he’s made 8 out of 15 threes this season. His midrange game is an art and he’s too big for Ayton in the post. Jokic is over this line in 3 of 5 games this series, with him tallying 29 points in Game 4. Michael Porter Jr. and Bruce Brown helped carry the scoring load at home, but both players could see some regression on the road. Jamal Murray will have a much better game, but give me the 2-time MVP to will his way in Game 6.
