Kevin Huerter (SAC) Under 22.5 Pts/Rebs/Asts (-125)

Line available at DraftKings at time of publishing.

Kevin Huerter was a great acquisition by the Sacramento Kings this off-season. He gives them someone that can work off-ball which is just what De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis need. His home vs away splits are glaring though. He’s shooting 44% from 3 behind the Sacramento faithful compared to 35% on the road. With the Golden State Warriors backs against the wall, it’ll be a dogfight for 48 minutes.

Huerter has been asked to do a ton through the first 2 games of the series. He matched up against Steph Curry on defense multiple times and was seen chasing him around screens. Curry was used much more in the pick-and-roll in Game 2, but Huerter will find himself defending Klay Thompson or Andrew Wiggins. Unlike most teams, the Kings have solid guard rotational pieces they can go to. If Curry gets hot early, Davion Mitchell will be inserted to contain him. Malik Monk will no doubt have a huge role in this game as well. He scored 17 points in the 2nd half of Game 1 and played 30+ minutes in Game 2 which included playing the whole 4th quarter in both games.

Huerter shot 2/9 from 3 last game and failed to record an assist. He’s no guarantee to play late last in this game and will be the 3rd-4th option when he’s on the floor. He’s stayed under this total in both games of the series so far, 4/5 against the Warriors this season, and in 63% of games on the road. No better way to sweat out an under in the must-watched NBA game on the slate!

Spencer Dinwiddie (BKN) Under 2.5 Turnovers (-150)

Line available at DraftKings at time of publishing.

Spencer Dinwiddie has been the Nets biggest disappointment through the first 2 games. He’s been inefficient from the field as he’s shooting 38% and has taken a back seat to Mikal Bridges and Cameron Johnson in terms of creating for the offense. He was an NBA player prop bettor’s dream when targeting his assists but has been nowhere to be found during the playoffs.

His usage rate of 19.7% ranked behind Bridges, Johnson, and even Dorian Finney-Smith in Game 2. His 15 assist opportunities per game are encouraging as he’s still taking care of the ball. In Game 1 he had an uncharacteristic 4 turnovers and was not on the same page on lobs to center Nicolas Claxton. He answered in Game 2 with only 1 turnover. That’s the Dinwiddie that shined in the regular season for the Nets after he was acquired from the Dallas Mavericks.

Dinwiddie will need to score to keep the Nets in this game. His usage will increase but he’s known to be careful with the ball. In games that he’s played at least 30 minutes in, he’s under this line in 47 of 64 games. Expect an aggressive but smart Dinwiddie on the floor at home.

Torrey Craig (PHX) Over 13.5 Pts/Rebs (-115)

Line available at DraftKings at time of publishing.

Role players are always tough to be on during the NBA regular season and can rarely be trusted when betting on NBA player props. But, come playoff time, you can find value in these guys. To no surprise, the Suns have no bench. Insert Torrey Craig who gives the Suns not only elite defense but is shooting the lights out through the first 2 games of the series. He’s 15/21 including 7 made three-pointers. The Clippers will gladly have Craig beat them over Kevin Durant and Devin Booker. He spaces the floor for Chris Paul as well when he operates in the pick and roll.

Craig needs to play big minutes tonight with the Suns woeful bench. His 22 points in Game 1 were a season-high and he answered that with 17 in Game 2. Craig can crush this line with just points but adding on rebounds can only help. He’s reeled down at least 4 rebounds in 75% of the games this season.
