NBA Sunday features a 13-game slate, with plenty of teams eyeing up the playoffs. There’s ton of value on the board, including on a Chicago Bulls team looking to jump up in the standings for play-in tournament positioning.

Let’s dive into my favorite NBA player prop bets today, which features a pesty Patrick Beverley, and also check out our NBA picks for today.

Patrick Beverley (CHI) Under 13.5 points + rebounds + assists (-118)

Line available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing.

Patrick Beverley will come ready to battle today against the Memphis Grizzlies — and, more importantly, Ja Morant. Knowing Beverley, he has been thinking about this matchup for some time. He loves the challenge of facing off against the league’s top guards. These 2 went at it in the playoffs last season and I expect the trash talk to continue today.

With all that being said, Beverely is a fade candidate for multiple reasons. One is his usage. In the last 10 games he has logged a usage rate below 11% 5 times — including in each of his last 3. Teammates Nikola Vucveic and Zach LaVine have been on scoring tears and making up much of the offense with mid-range specialist DeMar DeRozan averaging 25 a game. The assignment of Morant is not only going to pull him away from the basket but could also potentially get him into early foul trouble.

Beverley is under this line in 3 straight games and 50% of games as a member of the Chicago Bulls. His antics to get into opponent’s heads don’t equate to points, rebounds and assists. We’re in for a fun one.

Killian Hayes (DET) Under 23.5 points + rebounds + assists (-125)

Line available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing.

Killian Hayes continues to be a project for the Detroit Pistons and a fade option for NBA player prop bettors. With all the injuries from Pistons players like Cade Cunningham and Bojan Bogdanovic, you would think Hayes would jump on the opportunity to stuff the stat sheet. Unfortunately, that hasn’t happened. Rookie teammate Jaden Ivey has turned heads with his play and is undoubtedly the future of the organization along with Cunningham.

Hayes tends to struggle and relinquish duties to Ivey when they play together. In the last 10 games played with one another, Hayes has stayed under this line in 4 straight and in 13 of the last 15. His usage rate dipped to below 18% last game against a fast-paced Houston Rockets team.

Orlando has allowed the 2nd-fewest points to the point guard position in the last 7 games, with Hayes staying under in all 3 this season against the Magic. Expect another big game from Ivey and newcomer James Wiseman.
