There are 9 games on the NBA slate tonight, for which I have picked out another 3 props. Last night Jaren Jackson Jr. hit the +140 over on his blocks prop to take my record t0 4-2 to start the week. Hopefully we can build on that once more tonight.
With a packed night and an ESPN double-header to boot, let’s dive straight into my best player prop selections for the action.
Walker Kessler over 2.5 blocks and steals (-115)
Rookie Walker Kessler has been a defensive sensation for the Utah Jazz this season. He is 5th in the league in blocks per game, above the likes of Anthony Davis and Mitchell Robinson. He has recorded 3 or more in 3 of his last 4 games — averaging a steal per contest over that stretch, too. Going up against a side that is 28th this season in turnovers per game should help him continue his streak of steals. In 3 games against the Timberwolves he is averaging 2 blocks per contest. Factoring in he played a smaller role in the rotation earlier in the season, it looks like he will have a great chance to improve on it tonight. He should be able to sit back in the paint, too, with Rudy Gobert not able to space the floor — letting him focus on protecting the rim. Back the over.

Eric Gordon over 3.5 assists (-113)
This will be the second straight meeting between the Sacramento Kings and the Houston Rockets. On Monday Eric Gordon got into his passing bag, pulling off an 8-assist performance for the second time this season. He has now recorded 4 or more assists in 4 of his last 6 games. With Kevin Porter Jr. remaining out, look for him to continue playing a bigger role on the ball. The last contest was a very high-scoring encounter, and we should see more of the same here. De’Aaron Fox and Kevin Huerter are 2 of the worst players on the Kings roster in terms of defensive rating. Gordon should continue seeing success beating them off the dribble and forcing the defense to collapse. It should help create space for his teammates to knock down jumpers and rack up assists for the Rockets’ guard.

Jerami Grant over 5.5 rebounds (+118)
Jusuf Nurkic is out for the Portland Trail Blazers tonight and Drew Eubanks is being hindered by a back issue. That could create a rebounding void that Jerami Grant should be set to fill. He will likely see time matched up against Draymond Green. The Warriors forward is not a threat shooting the ball from the perimeter. This will allow Grant to have almost a free roaming role on defense. On the season the Warriors lead the league in 3-point attempts per game, which should lead to more long rebounds for Grant to chase down. With the injuries to their front line, do not be surprised to see him push 40 minutes of playing time, too. That’s more than enough time for him to grab 6 against a team that is 21st in opponent rebounds per game this season.
