Best NBA player prop bets for today 11/19: Fred VanVleet struggles on the road

Saturday night NBA is a smaller slate with only 5 games available. Orlando, Utah, and Indiana are all on back-to-backs. The 76ers appear to be shorthanded with injuries to Furkan Korkmaz ad Tyrese Maxey; Tobias Harris is questionable at the time of writing this article. Tyrese Haliburton is questionable as well and I’d be surprised if he played after his ankle injury Friday night. There isn’t a lot to love about tonight’s games from a player prop perspective, but I’ve managed to find two I like and a degenerate parlay that could also be done as a Round Robin.

Fred VanVleet Under 33.5 Points+ Rebounds + Assists (-122)

FVV has had success hitting this number against teams like Chicago and Houston, but Atlanta poses a real threat to VanVleet’s stat line. They rank 3^rd in Opp 3P%, where VanVleet is shooting 55% of his shot attempts and they’re 7^th overall in Opp shooting % at the rim. FVV has had success against the Hawks in recent years, but the addition of Dejounte Murray and commitment to defense makes it tough to compare historical performances. This number is significantly higher than his season average of 29.5 PRA against a tough opponent. I can’t see VanVleet registering much in the rebound column being so far from the rim defending Trae Young. 1U from me.

Rudy Gobert Over 11.5 Rebounds (-115)

The 76ers allow the most rebounds to opposing Centers this season and yes, that’s with Joel Embiid in the lineup. We are coming off recent performances from Clint Capela having 20 and 15 rebounds, and Giannis having 14 rebounds against the 76ers. The 76ers come into tonight short handed and off of a back-to-back so this is a prime spot for Gobert to have a big game on the glass. This number is below his season average of 12.5 and this precisely the reason he was brought over to Minnesota so that KAT does not get stuck with dominant big men such as Embiid. 1U from me.
