We have an NBA Saturday ahead of us with 7 games at our disposal to find the best player props available. Milwaukee Bucks are traveling to Cleveland to take on the Cavaliers (-1.5), in what I believe will be playoff matchup we see come May. The Pacers, Cavaliers, Hawks, Magic and Kings are all on back-to-backs. To top it all off, we do not have one game with a double-digit spread on the evening, so fingers crossed we can avoid a blowout (impossible). Let’s look at my favorite player props for Saturday, January 21st.

Jaylen Brown (BOS) over 31.5 points + assists (-118)

Jayson Tatum will miss tonight’s game due to wrist soreness, but that just allows Jaylen Brown to show us more why he deserves to be on the 2nd team All-NBA this season. With Tatum in the lineup, Brown has gone over this P+A total in 7 of the last 10 and his line is typically 29.5. The inflation to 31.5 does not accurately reflect the impact of Brown being “the guy” tonight for Boston.

In the two games without Tatum in the lineup this season, Brown averages 32 P+A and 7 potential assists per game. The Raptors allow the 2nd-most APG to opposing SFs on the season and are 21st overall in aDRTG. Brown could hit this in points alone, but I like him to be the primary ball handler as his usage jumps to 35% on his season average over 31% with Tatum. 1U

Buddy Hield (IND) over 20.5 points + rebounds (-108)

Hield is averaging 21 P+R over his last 10 games and 22 P+R on the season. He’s had two very difficult matchups against the Thunder and Nuggets that have exceptional backcourt defense and switch ability that made it difficult for him to get in a rhythm offensively. The Suns, on the other hand, are allowing the most PPG to opposing SGs over the last 7 games. Hield is averaging 8 rebound chances per game since Haliburton has gone out of the lineup and is averaging 5 per game over the last 10. This is a buy-low spot on Hield as this line has not been at 20.5 since January 4th and he has a favorable matchup offensively. 1U

Kyle Anderson (MIN) over 23.5 PRA (-105)

I guess I’m riding the wave for one of the more underrated FA signings this season. Anderson has been a revelation for the middling Timberwolves. He’s averaging 24 PRA over the last 10 and 34 PRA over the last 3. The Timberwolves are facing everyone’s favorite team to pick on in player props, the Houston Rockets. The Rockets are one of the worst teams in the NBA on both ends of the floor (28 aDRTG/ 30 aORTG). Anderson matches up well with the roster that plays rather positionless and he’s averaging well over 30 mpg for the month of January. I’m riding the trend for 0.5U.
