Much of tonight’s sports-betting focus will be on Josh Allen and Joe Burrow, but let’s not neglect 10-game NBA slate at our fingertips. Luka Doncic plays the Rockets again tonight and will look to follow up on his 35-point triple double from three nights ago. The Nuggets and Timberwolves play their first matchup of the season, which seems impossible so late in the year. And LeBron will look to keep turning back the clocks on the father time on the road against the Charlotte Hornets. I have 4 player props I love tonight and as always a degenerate parlay for you to throw $5 on if you couldn’t make it out to by Mega Ball tickets today. Let’s dive in!
PJ Washington (CHA) Over 19.5 Points + Rebounds (-125)
Line available on Caesar’s Sportsbook at the time of publishing.
Washington is a Jekyl & Hyde player when you look at his home/road splits. In Charlotte, he’s averaging 18 points and nearly 5 rebounds per game. In one game against the Lakers this season, he put up 29 P+R and that was on the road. The Lakers continue to put out small ball lineups since AD’s injury and it will give Washington more opportunities to grab rebounds. From a scoring perspective, he has had 13+ shot attempts in 5 straight games and hit this line in 5 straight games, as well. The Lakers lack of rim protection is an excellent opportunity for Washington to get to the FT line, as we saw in their first meeting on December 23, he finished with 7 FTA. 1U.
OG Anunoby (TOR) Over 16.5 points (-118)
Line available on Fanduel Sportsbook at the time of publishing.
This is a buy-low spot on Anunoby, who has been in a slump these last few games. The line is below his season average of 18PPG and it’s because he’s only hit this in 2 of the last 5 since his injury. The Pacers and 2 days rest are the perfect opportunity to get out of his funk. Defensively, Indiana is ranked 26th overall in opp 3P efficiency, which is huge for Anunoby — who has hit this line in 9 of 13 games when shooting over 40% from 3P range. Anunoby put up 26 on Indiana in November and I think he can hit 20 tonight for a Raptors teams looking to string together back-to-back wins. 1U.
Bojan Bogdanovic (DET) Over 6.5 rebounds and assists (-105)
Line available on BetMGM Sportsbook at the time of publishing.
You’re reading that right. Nothing to do with Bogdanovic in the scoring column. Over the last 2 games without Killian Hayes, Bogdanovic leads the team in potential assists with 9 per game. The Pistons guards have a great matchup against an undersized Portalnd backcourt and if Bojan can draw double-teams, it will make it easy for him to fill up the assist column. Jusuf Nurkic is questionable, and his absence will make it easier for Bogdanovic to grab more rebounds. The Pistons forward is averaging only 6.7 rebounds per game on the season, but that number has jumped to 8 over the last 2 games. It’s worth mentioning that Bogdanovic’s average rebound distance is 10.8 feet, meaning he’s grabbing rebounds off of long misses. This lines up well with Portland’s offense that is shooting nearly 40% of its attempts from 3 (11th most overall). He has hit this in 3 straight games. 1U.
Dejounte Murray (ATL) Under 5.5 rebounds (+102)
Line available on Fanduel Sportsbook at the time of publishing.
The Hawks are starting their 4-game road trip tonight against the Warriors. Dejounte Murray and Trae Young will have their hands full with Jordan Poole and Klay Thompson. That’s where this play centers around. Murray will be stretched out to the perimeter for most of the game defending Poole/Klay and will make it difficult to grab rebounds with any consistency. This line is above his road average of 4.5 rpg and his December average of 4.4 rpg. 0.5U on the under.
