Show Bio

Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. It’s Christmas Day, and that means that we have a whole day of NBA basketball ahead of us. I have picked out my favorite player prop from each one of todays 5 games for you to check out below. Hope you all enjoy the holidays and lets dive right into the selections!

Russell Westbrook over 12.5 rebounds + assists (-111)

Russell Westbrook has been doing it all for the Los Angeles Lakers of late, don’t expect him to stop on a national stage today. The point guard has been able to hit the over on this line in 8 of the 10 games he has appeared in this month. He has been averaging 8 rebounds and 8.5 assists in the process. Over the last 10 games the Dallas Mavericks have ranked 17th in opponent rebounds and 19th in opponent assists per game. Couple that with the fact the Lakers have led the league in pace during that stretch, and those opportunities should certainly be there for him today. Westbrook has shown this month that he has the ability to clear this line with just rebounds or assists alone. Having the 2 combined here is a great value look.

Immanuel Quickley over 10.5 points (-113)

New York Knicks guard Immanuel Quickley has really stepped up into his 6th man role of late. He has recorded 3 straight games of 15 or more points, making 60% of his 3-point attempts during that stretch. That ability to space the floor will be vital against a Philadelphia 76ers team with Joel Embiid patrolling the paint. Quickley is also likely to spend some time matched up against De’Anthony Melton tonight. The 76ers point guard is 14th on their roster in defensive rating and could be exploited. Considering his hot recent scoring form, the Knicks guard should be able to surpass double-digit points on Christmas day.

Giannis Antetokounmpo over 12.5 rebounds (+108)

Giannis Antetokounmpo has been a rebounding machine on the road this season, averaging 12.1 rebounds per game. With all eyes on him during this Christmas day matchup, look for him to assert himself all over this game, starting with rebounding. Up against him will mainly be Al Horford and Robert Williams III. Horford gives up a major length advantage to Antetokounmpo while Williams lacks the shooting touch to pull him away from the paint. With the Greek superstar having recorded 12 or more rebounds in 4 of his last 6 games, look for him to continue his streak here. Especially when considering the Boston Celtics give up the most rebounds per game over the last 10 games.

Desmond Bane over 2.5 made threes (-113)

Desmond Bane made his return against the Phoenix Suns after missing more than a month due to injury and let it fly from the get-go. He attempted 8 3-pointers in just 24 minutes, knocking down 2 in the process. As his minutes increase and the rust shakes off, look for him to convert more of these attempts today. On the season Bane is knocking down 43.6% of his 3-point attempts while averaging 4.2 makes per game in October and 3.5 in November. With the Golden State Warriors ranking 25th in the league in opponent 3-pointers made per game, they should represent the perfect opponent to get Bane back into his early season form.

Nikola Jokic over 1.5 steals (-120)

You might not immediately think of Nikola Jokic as a defensive stopper but that is exactly what he has been for the Denver Nuggets of late. The Serbian center has 15 steals over the last 5 games, recording at least 2 in each one of the games. Look for him to continue that streak tonight against the Phoenix Suns. Last season against this opponent, the reigning MVP averaged 2.5 steals per game. Devin Booker will be returning for the Suns tonight. He is however the most turnover prone player on their roster, so you can expect mistakes when he tries to work the ball inside. Deandre Ayton, who Jokic will spend much of the time matched up against, is 2nd on the Suns in terms of turnover per game. The Nuggets center should be in the middle of it all, collecting steals in the process.
