I am on a 9-3 run on my last 12 NBA player prop bets, and with a couple of tasty games coming up this Sunday it’s time for us to close out the week with a few more winners! A total of 16 teams are hitting the NBA hardwood today and I’ve picked out my 3 favorite bets which are available below.
Make sure you also check our NBA predictions for picks on the side and total for Sunday’s 8-game slate. Let’s look at some of my favorite NBA player prop bets now.
Ben Simmons to record 8+ assists (-145)
Ben Simmons doesn’t even belong in the same discussion with Kevin Durant in the scoring department, but when we’re talking about assists it’s Simmons all day long for me. He has been very effective over the past 10 games, averaging 6.8 dimes a night, along with his usage rate that number will only go up with KD out of the lineup due to injury. We’ve seen the effects of that already once in the game against Boston on Thursday, when Simmons finished with 13 assists in just 26 minutes of play.
He takes an average of just 4.6 shots per game, so clearly scoring is not a priority for him. Against the high-flying Thunder he will have to get teammates involved, because if the Nets want to stay competitive in this game they’ll need to score a lot. Kyrie Irving now becomes the primary scoring option, and don’t be surprised if he goes for 40 in tonight’s game, while Simmons dishes him a few assists.
Sunday’s NBA mega parlay has +805 odds!
De’Aaron Fox over 25.5 points (-104)
In a game in which the projected total has been set at an almost unreal 246 points, it’s logical to assume at least one of the Kings players will score a lot. Kevin Huerter will likely be out of the lineup, so that adds a bit more pressure on Fox to step up. He has failed to score 26 points in 3 consecutive games, coming really close in his last 2 games against Houston with 24. Nevertheless, I’m confident he can get there against the Spurs. In the first meeting of the season against them he had 28 in just 32 minutes of play while shooting 73% from the field and 66% from three.
San Antonio’s defensive numbers are bottom of the league in most statistical categories, just from inside the paint they’re allowing 63.3 points per game over their last 3 outings. That’s exactly the area Fox makes most of his damage, so I’m expecting him to produce. He has cleared this line in 3 consecutive games against San Antonio.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope over 1.5 made threes (-166)
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is Denver’s iron man this season. He’s their only player to play in 41 games and to start in every single one of them. Not only that, he’s also been very consistent shooting, especially since the new year started. In January he’s posting 2.3 threes per game while shooting an unreal 55.2% from downtown, which is even better than his 2-point percentage. He has cleared this line successfully in 5 of his 7 games in 2023 and has 7 threes over his last 2 games against the Clippers and Suns.
He always produces against the Magic as well. In his last 8 games against them he’s failed to score 2 threes only once, and that was in 2021 when he was part of the Lakers. Denver is on a streak of 12 wins in a row at home and also battling hard for the #1 seed in the West with the surging Grizzlies, so every win is huge. The Nuggets should come out firing here and there’s no doubt Caldwell-Pope will deliver once again.
