There are 10 games in the NBA on Friday night, including a matchup between Giannis Antetokounmpo and Luka Doncic. Six games have a line of 5 points or fewer and only 1 team is favored by double-digits. Six games have a total of at least 228 points. My season record is 11-10 (+.58 units). Here are my picks for tonight.

Kyrie Irving over 23.5 points (-108 on FanDuel)

Irving has been more aggressive over the last few games, taking 24, 21, 17 and 21 field-goal attempts over the last 4 games. The Nets’ point guard has scored 27, 27, 18 and 33 points in those games. Irving has shot at least 47.1% from the field in 7 of the last 9 games and has played at least 38 minutes in 6 of the last 7 games. It’s a great matchup against Trae Young and a Hawks team dealing with a lot of injuries.

Tyrese Haliburton over 29.5 points+assists (-119 on Caesars)

After 2 bad games and 2 missed games due to a groin injury, Haliburton returned to the form we have seen most of the season on Wednesday with 26 points and 15 assists against Minnesota. The Pacers guard has gone over this total in 5 of the last 9 games. He is averaging 19.4 points and 11 assists. Haliburton has at least 10 assists in 8 of the last 9 games. In 2 games against the Wizards this season, Haliburton had 26 points and 7 assists and 25 points and 12 assists. Washington is 21st in defensive efficiency and the game total is 233 points.

Paolo Banchero under 20.5 points (-125 on BetMGM)

Banchero has had a great rookie season, but this is a difficult matchup. The Magic forward faced the Raptors on Saturday and had 9 points in 27 minutes, shooting 2-for-8 from the field. Banchero has seen a decrease in usage since Markelle Fultz has returned, going from 28.4% to 25.8%. The field-goal attempts have been down recently. The Raptors are a good defensive team and Banchero will see a lot of OG Anunoby, Scottie Barnes and Pascal Siakam. Toronto has allowed 109.9 points per game, which ranks 7th in the NBA and is 8th in defensive efficiency. The rookie has gone under in 5 of the last 8 games and is shooting 38.9% from the field in December.
