We’ve got a small 6-game slate tonight in the NBA, but with a few good matchups. The headliner is Clippers vs Celtics, as Kawhi Leonard and Paul George look into the mirror at their younger selves in Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. Ja Morant heads north of the border to take on the Raptors, and we get to see how Luka follows up an all-time great performance against the Houston Rockets.

Julius Randle (NYK) under 30.5 points (-120)

Line available on DraftKings sportsbook at the time of publishing.

All good things must come to an end. The Knicks star has been on his best stretch of the season, scoring 30+ 4 times in the month of December. He’s eclipsed this number only once in the last 7 games and the opponent has driven this line over 30.5. The Spurs are bottom of the barrel in the NBA — dead last in defensive rating and 27th in offensive rating. This would be the opportune time to continue the streak, but I’m fading Randle for the simple reason that they’re allowing the Spurs are allowing the 6th-fewest ppg to opposing PFs over the last 7 games, and this number has gotten out of control.

Lines of 30+ are reserved for Tatum, Giannis, Luka and the like. Randle is not on that list. The Knicks are on a 4-game skid and have a chance to “get right” tonight and in doing so, this game could get ugly. Randle has played 40+ minutes in 3 of the last 4 and he’s not really needed to beat this Spurs team, so I can see his minutes return to the season average of 34.5. When Randle plays fewer than 35 minutes, he’s only hit this line in 4/21 games.

Evan Mobley (CLE) over 23.5 points and rebounds (-125)

Line available on DraftKings sportsbook at the time of publishing.

Mobley is in line for a bounce-back game after being relatively quiet since mid-December. Luckily, the Pacers are a team he’s had success against in his short career. He put up 25 P+R against Indiana on December 16 and hit this line in 2/4 games last season. The Pacers are allowing the 3rd-most ppg and rpg to opposing PFs over the last 3 and have little in terms of size to match up with the lanky Mobley.

Scottie Barnes (TOR) over 28.5 points rebounds and assists (-104)

Line available on FanDuel sportsbook at the time of publishing.

Scottie Barnes at home is a completely different player this season. He’s averaging 31 PRA when playing north of the border and has picked up the slack after a lackadaisical November. He’s hit this line 8 of the last 13 and gets a Memphis team that is reeling. The Grizzlies are only 7-6 straight up as a road favorite and 5-7 ATS after a loss. Memphis is giving up the 7th-most RPG and most APG to opposing PFs over the last 7 games. This should be a pace-up for Toronto, which plays to Barnes’ strengths of getting out in transition. It helps that the Raptors are second in the league in fast break points, just ahead of Memphis.
