It has already been an eventual “second half” of the 2022-23 NBA campaign following the all-star break. LeBron James got hurt, Damiam Lillard scored 71 points in a game, the Atlanta Hawks fired 1 coach and hired another in the middle of the season and the Dallas Mavericks’ Luka Doncic-Kyrie Irving expiriment already seems to be imploding.
What else is going to happen on Wednesday? Who is going to go off like Lillard did this past Sunday? I will try to answer those questions with my best NBA player props.

Chris Paul, PHX, to record a double-double (+190)
This is a great matchup for Paul – and for pretty much every else on the Suns. The Hornets play at the fourth-fastest pace in the NBA (105.6 possessions per game) and aren’t good on defense – 2 reasons why they give up the fourth-most points in the association (118.4 per game). They also allow the absolute most assists (26.4 per game).
Paul’s last double-double came 4 games ago (17 points and 19 assists against Sacramento), but he has scored in double-figures in 5 of the last 6 and he has dished out a double-digit number of dimes 4 times in the last 8. In Phoenix’s previous game against Charlotte this season he finished with 14 points and 11 assists. Getting another double-double at almost +200 odds is a clear steal.

Cam Reddish, POR, Over 12.5 points (+100)
With Lillard having erupted for 71 points last weekend against Houston, I expect opponents to be even more focused on putting the clamps down on him and seeing if other guys can beat you. On Tuesday the Warriors limited Lillard to 25 points on 9-for-21 shooting. Reddish reached double-figures for the fourth time in 6 games since being acquired by Portland. During this stretch he has performances of 24 and 18 points.
Since logging fewer than 20 minutes in the first 2 outings with his new team, the former Duke star has seen 33, 35, 31 and 29 minutes of game action. All 4 of those contests were complete blowouts, too, so he could see even more than that if today’s showdown with New Orleans is competitive. The Pelicans are dealing with a whole host of injuries – a list that includes pesky perimeter defender Jose Alvarado – so they may not be playing much defense tonight.
