Best NBA player prop bets at DraftKings Sportsbook today, 4/9: Steph Curry doesn't need 30

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry (30) against Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker (1) at Footprint Center.

The NBA season wraps up with a massive 15-game slate on Sunday. It is highlighted by a few massive games in the Western Conference, including the Warriors vs Blazers, Clippers vs Suns and Lakers vs Jazz. Needless to say, there are plenty of options for the betting public.

With that, allow me to introduce myself. I’m Prop Prophet, and I’m here to help you bet better with Pickswise. Let’s get right into my favorite NBA player prop bets for Sunday that you can find at DraftKings Sportsbook, which has the best odds available. Here we go.

Steph Curry (GSW) Under 28.5 points (-115)

Available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing.

Golden State needs to win this game to ensure that it stays out of the Western Conference play-in tournament. However, given that the Warriors are playing the Portland Trail Blazers, I don’t anticipate that they will need the full 40 minutes to ensure a victory. After all, the Blazers aren’t exactly putting out much in the vein of defense these days. I’d anticipate Curry to play anywhere from 25 to 30 minutes in this one, and he’s cleared this line in only 5 of his last 10 games played — while playing at least 33 minutes in each contest. I’d expect Curry to rest for the majority of the 2nd and 4th quarters, so his odds of getting over 28.5 points seem fairly slim to me.

Kawhi Leonard (LAC) Over 23.5 points (-115)

Available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing.

In another game that features a team playing to win against a team with no incentive to do so, the Los Angeles Clippers head to Phoenix for a date with the Suns. Phoenix could very well be the Clippers’ first-round opponent, but that’s not guaranteed at this time. The Clippers have made it clear that they will playing this game to win, as evident by coach Ty Lue’s comments to the media throughout the last few games. Kawhi Leonard is expected to get the start in this one, and he’s been able to clear this line in each of his last 3 starts. With the playoffs rapidly approaching, a win would ensure that the Clippers can rest for a week and avoid the play-in. I expect a spirited effort from Leonard and he should clear this line once again, even if Los Angeles pulls away and rests its starters in the 4th.
