Best NBA player prop bets at DraftKings Sportsbook today, 4/23: Another slow playoff game from Julius Randle

New York Knicks guard Miles McBride (2) and guard Josh Hart (3) help pick up forward Julius Randle (30) at the end of the third quarter against the Portland Trail Blazers at Moda Center.

The NBA playoffs continue on Sunday, and we’ve got some excellent matchups in store. Celtics vs Hawks has turned into a fun series, plus we’ll see the Cavaliers battle the Knicks in what should be a close one at Madison Square Garden. The highlight of the day should be in the Bay Area, where the Kings will take on the Warriors in a massive Game 4.

With that, allow me to introduce myself – or reintroduce myself if you aren’t a first-time reader. I’m Prop Prophet, and I’m here to help you bet better with Pickswise. Let’s get right into my favorite NBA player prop bets for Sunday that you can find at DraftKings Sportsbook, which has the best odds available. Here we go.

Julius Randle (NYK) Under 23.5 points (-115)

Available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing.

Like it or not, there is generally more value on under plays since the betting public will hammer overs more often than not. And one under that has consistently cashed all postseason long has been Julius Randle under his points total. Randle has proven to be a valuable player for the Knicks in this postseason by doing things other than scoring, as his rebounding and defense have been strong. However, he just can’t find his shot, which is a very reminiscent trend of his struggles during the 2021 postseason. Randle has finished with 19, 22 and 11 points in 3 games this series, and he’s shooting a dismal 33% from the field and 27% from beyond the arc. As long as Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen are guarding him, I don’t see a massive breakout game coming from Randle in this matchup.

Michael Porter Jr. (DEN) Over 2.5 three-pointers made (-145)

Available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing.

The Nuggets have looked excellent in this series against Minnesota, and the shooting of Michael Porter Jr. is a big part of Denver’s success on offense. The versatile wing is shooting 54% from the floor on nearly 15 attempts per game, so the volume and efficiency are clearly there. He’ll be expected to get plenty of 3-point attempts in this game against a Wolves defense that surrendered 20 3-point attempts to Porter Jr. over the first 3 games of this series. Yes, this number is juiced, but there’s good reason for it, as it has cashed in 5 of the last 6 Nuggets games. Porter Jr. has cleared this number in over 70% of the Nuggets road games this season with Jokic on the court, and I expect that to continue once again on Sunday.
