Following a week off for all-star festivities, the NBA is back. It’s back with a bang, too, as Thursday night’s Kings vs Clippers game was nothing short of preposterous (it also happened to cash our +1243 mega parlay!).
What will Saturday do for an encore? There are 7 games on the schedule – including an ABC showdown between the Celtics and 76ers at 8:30 pm ET – so plenty more entertainment should be in store. One of the premier sportsbooks that has some of the best odds available for NBA player prop bets is DraftKings Sportsbook, and ahead of today’s slate I will break down the best props to target. Let’s dive in.

Michael Porter Jr., DEN, Over 17.5 points (-120)
Porter’s ppg average for the season is 17.0, which is pretty much right on Saturday’s quota. And when you consider that Aaron Gordon (ribs) is sidelined for the Denver Nuggets, you know MPJ will have to shoulder more of the scoring load from the forward position. He is already doing it, in fact. Porter has scored 22 and 25 points in the last 2 games and in his last 8 outings he has produced at least 22 points on 5 occasions. With today’s total between the Nuggets and Memphis Grizzlies set at 235.5, you have a pretty good idea that scoring will be up in general. MPJ should cover this number, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he does it with room to spare.

RJ Barrett, NY, Over 1.5 three-pointers made (-140)
It is true that Barrett has gone a little bit cold over from 3 in recent weeks, but that’s why his line is down at 1.5. Even at -140 juice, I will happily grab it. The former Duke standout has gone over this number in 8 of the last 14 games and in 3 of the last 6 – and that’s even with shooting it at a poor percentage. Barrett has forked up at least 5 treys in 11 of the past 14 contests. With fellow shooting guard Evan Fournier (illness) probably still on the shelf, Barrett stands to once again log a lot of minutes for the New Yor Knicks. The New Orleans Pelicans are solid but nothing special at defending the 3-ball, so look for Barrett to drain at least 2 from deep.
