Show Bio

Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. There are 4 games for us to enjoy in the NBA on Wednesday night. The NBA TV doubleheader will begin with the New York Knicks looking to close out the Cleveland Cavaliers, and that will be followed by the Miami Heat looking to do the same against the Milwaukee Bucks. TNT will be covering the Western Conference tonight, with the first game seeing LeBron James and the LA Lakers try to put away the Grizzlies. The night will finish with the Sacramento Kings hosting the Golden State Warriors. Be sure to take a look at all of our NBA predictions for those games, but for now, let’s get into my NBA first basket scorer selections below.

Warriors vs Kings first basket best bet: Domantas Sabonis (+450)

Domantas Sabonis has helped the Sacramento Kings gain the opening possession in each of the last 2 games. He also went on to open the scoring in Game 4, marking the 2nd time this postseason that he has done that. I am expecting the Kings to go to him early in this game as well. With De’Aaron Fox dealing with a hand injury, expect Sabonis to be more aggressive in trying to score himself. Neither Kevon Looney nor Draymond Green can deter him from attacking inside with their physicality. I am expecting Sabonis to get something going to the rim as a result.

Heat vs Bucks first basket best bet: Brook Lopez (+600)

Milwaukee Bucks center Brook Lopez was sensational in Game 4 against the Miami Heat. Not only did he win the ball at tip, he also went on to score 36 points in the game. I would not be surprised to see him feature early tonight too. The return of Giannis Antetokounmpo has returned Lopez to being an outside threat. He knocked down 4 of 7 shots from deep, having not made a shot from beyond the arc in any of the previous 3 games. With the Greek superstar likely drawing help on the inside, look for Lopez to benefit by offering an outlet for the forward. With the way the center has been shooting the ball, making over 57.1% of his shots this series, he should be well-positioned to convert.
