There are 9 games on the schedule Friday night in the NBA. Four games have spreads of 3 points or fewer. Every game has a total of 219 points or fewer except one. As always, stay up date on the latest injury news since lines can change. Bets may be added throughout the day if there are additional spots that arise, so be sure to check back later in the day. My record is 23-14 for the season. Here are my picks for tonight.
Cleveland Cavaliers (+3) at Washington Wizards
The Cavaliers have been excellent ATS this season and have been featured often in this article. Rookie Evan Mobley has been a key addition to provide a big frontcourt with Jarrett Allen and Lauri Markkanen. Mobley missed 4 games with an elbow injury and the Cavaliers lost all. He’s been back for 3 games and the Cavaliers have won each one. The Cavaliers are 15-7 ATS this season and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games as underdogs and 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games as road underdogs. The Wizards are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games as favorites and 3-6 ATS in their last 9 games. The Cavaliers are fourth in defensive efficiency. The Cavaliers are playing excellent basketball and are 5-0 ATS in their last five games. In that span they lost to two of the best teams in the NBA, the Suns and Nets, each by 5 points. The teams met on Nov. 10 and the Wizards won, 97-94 and the Cavaliers had a 4-point lead with 30 seconds left. Kevin Love and Markkanen didn’t play in that game for Cleveland.
Bradley Beal Under 24.5 Points (-110 on FanDuel)
Beal gets a difficult matchup on Friday, as the Cavaliers are 4th in defensive efficiency. Beal has been struggling with his shooting recently, shooting 44.4 percent or less from the field in 4 of his last six games. Beal is averaging 22.7 points per game this season and has been under 24.5 points in 6 of his last 7 games. Beal faced Cleveland on Nov. 10 and scored 15 points, shooting 4-for-19 from the field.
Trae Young Over 2.5 Three-pointers (-118 on FanDuel)
Young has been on fire lately, scoring at least 30 points in 5 straight games. Young has had to do more offensively with the Hawks short-handed. Bogdan Bogdanovic and De’Andre Hunter are out and Cam Reddish is doubtful. Young has taken 20 shots from three-point range the last 2 games. Young has gone over this total in 4 of the last 6 games and 10 of the last 13 games. The 76ers are 23rd in three-point shooting percentage, allowing opponents to shoot 35.6 percent from 3-point range.
