There are 7 games on the slate for Friday night in the NBA. Three games have lines of 7 points or more and the highest total is 223.5 points. As always, stay up date on the latest injury news since lines can change. Here are my picks for tonight.

Indiana Pacers at Brooklyn Nets under 223.5 points

The Nets were one of the most potent offensive teams in the NBA last season. This year, the Nets are one of the worst, averaging 102 points per game, which ranks 26th in the NBA. Brooklyn is 29th in offensive efficiency and only the Pistons are worse. Indiana is 14th in offensive efficiency and after scoring 122 and 134 points in their first 2 games, the Pacers have scored 102, 109 and 100 points in their last 3. James Harden has struggled, averaging 16.6 points per game and shooting 35.9% from the field. The Pacers will also be without Malcolm Brogdon due to a hamstring injury.

Portland Trail Blazers -3 vs Los Angeles Clippers

The Blazers are a better team at home, winning their last 2 at home against the Grizzlies by 10 points and the Suns by 29 points. The Blazers got destroyed by the Clippers on the road on Monday by 30 points. It’s the only game in which the Blazers haven’t scored at least 116 points. That’s the only win for the Clippers, who have lost to the Warriors, Grizzlies and are coming off a 92-79 home loss to the Cavaliers. The Clippers are struggling without Kawhi Leonard, Marcus Morris and Serge Ibaka. The Blazers had an off-night in the first matchup against the Clippers and turned it over 30 times. The Blazers can bounce back and cover.

Jonas Valanciunas over 17.5 points (-125 on DraftKings)

Jonas Valanciunas is off to a great start with the Pelicans and is needed more offensively with Zion Williamson out. Valanciunas has played at least 33 minutes in 5 straight games, including at least 36 in 3 straight games. He is averaging 14.4 shots from the field per game and averaging 17 points per game. He has gone over this total in 3 of the last 4 games. It’s a good matchup against the Kings, who allow 52 points in the paint per game — only the Lakers and Wizards are allowing more.
