There are 2 games on Wednesday night in the second round of the NBA playoffs. The Miami Heat host the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 2 with the Heat looking to go up 2-0 in the series and the Phoenix Suns play at home against the Dallas Mavericks also holding a 1-0 lead. My record is 99-72-1 for the season. Here are my player props picks for tonight.
You can read our predictions for the side and total of both tonight’s games here.
Deandre Ayton over 19.5 points (-102 on FanDuel)
The Mavericks had no answer for Deandre Ayton in Game 1. They don’t have anybody to slow him down. Ayton went 12-for-20 from the field and scored 25 points. The Suns center has scored at least 22 points in 4 of the last 5 games and is averaging 21.1 points per game in the postseason. Ayton is shooting 68% from the field in the postseason and should continue to get easy looks. The Mavericks are allowing 47.1 points per game in the paint in the postseason, which is 4th-worst among playoff teams.

Tobias Harris over 19.5 points (+100 on DraftKings)
With Joel Embiid out for the 76ers, Tobias Harris gets a boost. We played this at 17.5 points on Monday and Harris scored 27, shooting 11-for-18 from the field. He has played 10 games without Embiid this season and averaged 19.8 points per game, and that includes games in which he played only 24, 25 and 27 minutes. The usage rate increased by almost 8% and he played 37 minutes in Game 1. In the last 6 games Harris has taken at least 18 shots from the field and has scored 27, 22, 26, 19, 30 and 31 points. Take him to go over this line again.
