There are two playoff games on Monday night in the second round of the NBA playoffs. The Milwaukee Bucks host the Boston Celtics and aim to take a 3-1 lead in the series, while the Memphis Grizzlies play in Golden State and Ja Morant is listed as doubtful with a knee injury. This gives the Warriors an opportunity to take a 3-1 stranglehold on the series.
For the season, my record is 101-74-1. Here are my player props picks for tonight.
Jordan Poole over 2.5 three-pointers (+105 on DraftKings)
Even with Gary Payton out, Jordan Poole came off the bench in Game 3. He’s still playing starter minutes and playing a big role on offense. He played 31 minutes in Game 3 due to the Warriors winning by 40 points and had 27 points and hit 3-for-5 from three-point range. Poole is shooting 9-for-21 in the first 3 games against Memphis from beyond the arc. In 4 home playoff games, Poole has hit at least 3 treys in 3 games. Poole has gone over this total in 22 of the last 28 games and is averaging 3.9 three-pointers in that span.
Jrue Holiday over 20.5 points (-110 on DraftKings)
The Bucks offense is running through Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jrue Holiday. The Bucks took 99 shots from the field in Game 3 and both players took 30 shots from the field. Holiday’s shooting volume has been consistent, as he took 20 shots from the field in the first pair of games. Holiday has played 36, 40 and 43 minutes and with another close game expected, the Bucks guard should be on the floor for around 40 minutes. Holiday hasn’t shot the ball well, shooting 37.2 percent from the field, but has scored 25, 19 and 25 points. While the Celtics defense has been good, Holiday is getting too much volume and will go over this total.
