Oklahoma City Thunder vs Sacramento Kings Prediction, Odds and Picks for Monday, 11/25/24
Thunder vs Kings Pickswise Expert Predictions
The Thunder are off to a good start this season at 12-4. They busted a 2-game losing streak in their last game, which was their first with center Isaiah Hartenstein. The idea was to play him with big man Chet Holmgren but he is still out with a hip injury, as is backup big Jaylin Williams, so the Thunder are a little thin up front. However, even though they have been navigating injuries the Thunder’s defense has not suffered. They are 2nd in the NBA in points allowed.
I was high on the Kings coming into the season but they have lost 3 in a row and 4 of 5 to sink under .500. Point guard De’Aaron Fox has put up some big games but sometimes that is not enough. The key to their disappointment is terrible three-point shooting — they rank 26th in the league. They play with pace so they are going to always jack up a bunch of shots. Last year they were more middle of the pack which is where they need to be to win.
Sacramento’s disappointments have them at a 6-10-1 spread record. Betting against them as a home underdog has been profitable too, as they are 0-2 in that situation. I want to back them to buck that early trend but it is tough against OKC. The Thunder have the firepower to play at any pace and Hartenstein gives them a banger to neutralize inside force Domantas Sabonis. As a result, I’m taking Oklahoma City to cover the spread tonight.
Thunder vs Kings prediction: Oklahoma City -4.5 (-110) available at time of publishing. Playable at that number.
