New York Knicks vs Denver Nuggets Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 11/25/24

The New York Knicks’ 4-game win streak was snapped on Saturday, losing 121-106 to the Utah Jazz. On Monday night, they look to rebound when they travel to Denver to take on the Nuggets for the 3rd game of a 5-game road trip. Meanwhile, Denver overcame a 3-point loss to the Dallas Mavericks with a 25-point win over the Los Angeles Lakers the following night, highlighted by a 34-point, 13-rebound, and 8-assist performance by Nikola Jokic. The Nuggets are favored by 4 points over the Knicks for Monday’s matchup and there are some injuries to keep an eye on for New York, mainly the availability of Karl-Anthony Towns, who is listed as questionable with a left calf contusion.

The Knicks have struggled on the defensive end of the court this season, which isn’t on par with what we’ve been accustomed to seeing out of a Tom Thibodeau-led team. New York ranks 21st in defensive rating through 16 games compared to 9th a season ago. If Towns is ruled out against the Nuggets, the Knicks are going to have a difficult time containing Jokic, especially when they already lack size with Mitchell Robinson out. This is an awfully difficult spot if you’re the Knicks, and Denver looked much sharper in their games against both Dallas and Los Angeles after Jokic returned from a 3-game absence due to the birth of his son. I’ll lay the points with Denver in this contest before they hit a quick 2-game road trip later in the week.
