New York Knicks vs Atlanta Hawks Prediction, Odds and Picks for Tomorrow, 11/06/24
Knicks vs Hawks Pickswise Expert Predictions
Both New York and Atlanta suffered losses on Monday night, but who will bounce back on Wednesday? Let’s dive into our Knicks vs Hawks prediction. The Knicks spoiled their solid start to the season with a 12-point home loss to the Rockets on Monday. Good ol’ Thibs is already pushing his starters to the limits, playing 3 of them 40+ minutes in the 6th game of the regular season. That resulted in a 38% shooting night from the field and just 39% from three. The bench production was nowhere to be found as just 3 points came off the pine in the loss. Now the Knicks face a Hawks team they’ve beaten 3 times in 4 regular-season meetings, and the 1 game they failed to win was a Hawks victory by 16 points back in March at MSG.
At 3-5, the Hawks are certainly not where they wanted to be after 8 games played, but what is concerning is that they lost 2 games to the Wizards, a team likely to be near the bottom of the East. This team has been a bettor’s nightmare, covering the spread just once in 8 games so far and going 0-5 ATS in 5 home games. However, when it comes to points, nobody’s games go over the total more than Hawks games – they’re 7-1 on the O/U, including 4-1 at home. But, Trae Young did suffer a rib injury against Boston on Monday and the offense just collapsed after he left the game. His status is unclear at the time of writing.
Assuming Young isn’t able to go, I have very little hope for the Hawks here. You have to be at 100% to deal with what the Knicks have in the backcourt. Atlanta scored just 40 points in the 2nd half of the Celtics game, and without Young’s 27 points and 11.7 assists per game, they might not reach 100 points for the 2nd game in a row. I’ll take the under as a slightly safer option here.
