Bucks vs Rockets Pickswise Expert Predictions
The suspension of Bobby Portis has seemingly rallied the troops for the Milwaukee Bucks, who are currently on a 4-game win streak. As a result they have leapt over the Pacers for the fourth seed in the East. They will be up against it on Tuesday as they head to Houston for the second and final meeting of the year with the Rockets. Milwaukee had an unexpected hero in the first meetin, as Brook Lopez went off for 27 points and 10 rebounds — including 5 3-pointers. Tuesday’s rematch could be a lot different, as I doubt Lopez has the capacity at this stage of his career to repeat that performance. The Bucks are in good shape, though; they just overcame a 40-point night by Tyler Herro in their win over Miami.
From being one of the most consistent teams against the spread, the Rockets have now fallen to 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games following their 9-point defeat against the lowly Jazz. It was their second loss in 3 games and seventh in the last 10 outings. It’s hard to figure out what exactly is going on with head coach Ime Udoka’s team; perhaps all that youth and inexperience is showing off as we enter the final 30 or so games of the regular season. There’s a long list of questionable players for Houston, too, including Dillon Brooks, Fred VanVleet, Tari Eason and Steven Adams.
Milwaukee’s road record has me a bit worried, but with 5 wins in 6 games and the way in which it has dominated the last 4, I think we could be in for an upset. The Bucks have won 6 of the last 8 meetings, so clearly this matchup suits them. I’ll go with Giannis Antetokounmpo and company to sweep the regular-season series.
