Grizzlies vs Warriors Pickswise Expert Predictions
After a long and eventful regular season, the NBA Playoffs have finally arrived, and action will get underway in the Western Conference with this Play-In rematch between the Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors. The Grizzlies upset the Warriors back in the 2021 Play-In tournament, but I’m not expecting a repeat performance this time around, especially given the experience edge and matchup advantages Golden State has in this contest. However, while I do lean toward the Warriors playing in a playoff atmosphere at home, I’m more interested in the total in this one.
While this game isn’t necessarily a win or go home situation, it might as well be for both teams considering the best case scenario following a loss would be a date with the top-seeded Thunder in the first round. With that in mind, I’m going to be targeting the under in a situation where the market is factoring recent performance a bit too much for my liking. For starters, Golden State plays at a slower tempo at home with Jimmy Butler in the lineup, and we should only see fewer transition points in a game of this magnitude. Yes, the Grizzlies defense has been extremely inconsistent this season, but you also have to factor in the fact that Memphis’ offense is going to be playing at a slower pace on Tuesday, which should limit the possession count for Golden State. The Grizzlies should be focused on grinding out longer possessions and executing against a Warriors defense that is excellent at home (46% field goal percentage allowed). It certainly helps matters that Memphis has been mediocre from beyond the 3-point arc this season, shooting just over 36% as a team. Ultimately, the Warriors defense has been rock solid and should be comfortable in this high-pressure setting, and I can’t quite trust Golden State to score around 120+ points in a game where there should be fewer possessions. There’s a reason games at the Chase Center are 6-2 to the under over the last 8 home games for Golden State, and I’m expecting that trend to continue on Tuesday.

We’re targeting Steph Curry and the under of his rebounds+assists prop of 10.5 at plus-money odds on bet365.
The Warriors failed to win on Sunday against the Clippers in overtime, resulting in them having to participate in the Play-in Tournament. With Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green 0rchistrating a ton of usage and offense, this is a great spot to take a shot at fading Curry — but not in the scoring department. Green and Butler’s assist props are 5.5 and 6.5, respectively. Meanwhile, Brandin Podziemski is commanding much usage as well. With plenty of other players filling the stat sheet, we could see Curry spend the majority of his time focusing on scoring.
