The Clippers don’t have a player that’s that hot from the perimeter, however they have a couple of veterans who have upped their game considerably compared to last season. Norman Powell and Ivica Zubac are both having career years, with James Harden at the helm. The Beard is slowly regaining his play making touch, he’s upped his assists per game numbers to 9.2 in January, he’s been key to the success of the Clippers this year. Kawhi Leonard is also back, that should spell trouble for the Lakers here who aren’t all that good at defending opposing wings. Kawhi is averaging 25.8 points, 7.8 rebounds and 5.4 assists over the last 5 meetings, while also shooting over 53% from the field.

This game has the potential to be one of the best games of the regular season so far. I’m giving a slight edge to the Clippers, only because of what they are capable of doing on the defensive end. Their last 3 opponents have failed to cross the century mark, plus their last 2 wins have been by a combined 88 points. They’ve also won 12 of the last 15 meetings, while going 7-1 in the last 8 games when they are the home team. Back the Clippers to get the job done.
