Lakers vs Nuggets Pickswise Expert Predictions
The Denver Nuggets enter tonight’s game being the hottest team in the NBA, having won 9 straight games. They have been phenomenal at home, too, boasting a 20-8 record so far this season. They will be confident they can improve on that tonight as they take on a Los Angeles Lakers team that is still adjusting to having Luka Doncic. While the Slovenian is undoubtedly a welcome addition to the team, he has been a defensive liability so far and has struggled for efficiency having just come back from injury. Jamal Murray has scored 89 combined points over his last 2 contests and will be well positioned to exploit Doncic tonight.
Over the last 10 games the Nuggets have been leading the NBA in offensive rating and they should be firing on all cylinders tonight. The visiting Lakers have depth issues at center, with Jaxson Hayes and Alex Len providing subpar options at that position. Considering they will be up against the reigning MVP Nikola Jokic, the Lakers will be giving up a major advantage to the Nuggets in the frontcourt. Aaron Gordon also gives the home team a perfect matchup physically to pick up LeBron James, which could help limit the visitors offensively. The Nuggets have dominated the Lakers in the playoffs in recent years and we should see more evidence of why the matchup is so lopsided tonight.
