Rockets vs Timberwolves Pickswise Expert Predictions

Houston Rockets
Point Spread Pick
MIN Timberwolves -3.5(-110)

This Houston team probably shouldn’t be losing to a team like Portland, as they did in their last game — especially after beating them with ease in the game before. Still, for the most part, the Rockets have been solid this season with a 12-6 record. That is with terrible shooting too. If they can keep up their strong defense as their shooting improves, and it should, there could be a lot more to this team this season.

Minnesota has lost their last 2 games to drop to an 8-8 record. Point guard Mike Conley missed the last game and is day-to-day right now. The fact that they almost won at Boston without him might mean that this team is turning a corner. Rookie guard Rob Dillingham scored 14 points off the bench, giving their second unit a spark. This team just does not have a lot of life to it on some nights, even with high flyer Anthony Edwards. Houston is a team that the league wants to believe in. I do too, but they are inconsistent, so even though they have been solid in underdog roles this season, I am not sure I want to put my money on them here. Minnesota is far from a sure thing but it should have no trouble covering this short spread tonight.

Rockets vs Timberwolves prediction: Minnesota -3.5 (-110) available at time of publishing. Playable at that number.
