The road trip continues in Milwaukee tonight as the Nuggets hope to record a 6th win in a row vs East teams, they’ve had a pretty solid time playing on the road at Fiserv Forum covering the spread in 4 of their last 5 visits. From a health standpoint nobody is missing, that must feel great for head coach Michael Malone. Although they take the 3rd lowest amount of threes per game, the Nuggets are still one of the most lethal teams from beyond the arc. In just their last 3 games they’ve shot 41% from distance, if that carries on in this game they’ll take care of business almost certainly.
Milwaukee had a tough pill to swallow with the suspension of Bobby Portis which really hurts their depth in the next 20 or so games. Just 97 points scored in the 3-point loss at Houston was very uncharacteristic for this team, Giannis and Dame now have to carry a bigger load as the 2nd unit no longer has the consistency of Portis to rely on. Against Western Conference teams the Bucks have won just 2 of 8 games, overall they’re just 4-9 ATS in their last 13 which makes them one of the least reliable teams to bet on. Oddsmakers are expecting a high scoring game here with the total being set at 240.5 points. I am not so sure about that, the Bucks have held their ground defensively over the past 5 games recording the 3rd best defensive rating. The under has also cashed in 4 of 5 meetings between the two teams, while an average of 224.1 points per game have been scored in the last 10 head-to-head. I’m going with the under for this one.
