Memphis Tigers vs Michigan State Spartans Prediction, Odds and Picks for Tuesday, 11/26/24

Both teams are entering today’s game on short rest as the Memphis Tigers are celebrating a huge win yesterday against the UConn Huskies, and Michigan State had a standout performance against Colorado and beat with ease.  Memphis victory over UConn got a little dicey towards the end of the game where they gave up a 13-point lead before winning in overtime.  Today, Memphis will be looking to keep rolling in the Maui Invitational as they face off against a good Spartans team.  

Michigan State’s defense stepped up in a big way against Colorado, probably the best they’ve played all year, as they held them to only 56 points. Michigan State has given up on average 66.2 points per game, and has been scoring 81.2 per game. Despite their defense playing well, they’re going to need to shoot better than what they did last night against Memphis if they want any shot at winning. Michigan State shot 9.5% from deep, and that’s not a percentage you want to see in any matchup. As for Memphis, they don’t have a great defense as they have been allowing 76 points per game, but they have been scoring on average 84.8 points per game.  I think Memphis is going to give this Michigan State defense some trouble tonight, and a big reason for that is because of PJ Haggerty who averages 22.4 points per game. I’m still not fully sold on this Michigan State team, and even though they played Colorado and Kansas extremely well, I think Memphis offense finds a way to get it done as they continue to ride high after taking down UConn, making them my best bet of the day.
