Joel Embiid to Score 35+ Points (+145)

Joel Embiid had a pretty modest night on offense in Game 1, scoring just 26 points on 7-for-15 from the field. Getting double-teamed isn’t anything new to him, but the Nets took it to an extreme doing so on almost every single possession he caught the ball. That resulted in 11 free throw attempts, so it will be interesting to see if they stick to that game plan for Game 2 as well. The Nets are in the bottom half of the NBA in opponent points in the paint over their last 3 games, something I’m sure Embiid is well aware of. Knowing the competitive nature of the big fella, he will surely not be satisfied with another sub 30 point performance here. He finished the regular season averaging 33.1 points per game and winning the scoring title. Against the Nets, he already went over the 35 point mark once this year, I have a feeling we could be in for a breakout performance on Monday night.

Tobias Harris Over 1.5 Made Threes (-104)

Harris showed up in a big way for the 76ers in the series opener scoring 21 points on a very efficient 9-for-14 from the field and 3 threes made without a miss. He and the rest of the Sixers took advantage of the lackluster Nets perimeter defense, as Brooklyn is allowing 12.8 three-pointers per game on the road this season which ranks them only 19th in the NBA. Heading into Game 2, it will be important for Harris to keep the momentum going. He’s made 1.6 threes per game in his last 10 outings while shooting an impressive 45.7%. With James Harden dishing out assists all over the place, players like Harris and Maxey are going to have big scoring nights in this series. The Sixers have just too many weapons on offense for the Nets to keep up with, so hopefully Tobias is able to knock down a pair of threes here.

We also have a Golden State Warriors vs Sacramento Kings Same Game Parlay at +416 odds!

Mikal Bridges to Record 1+ Steals (-195)

As capable as Bridges is on offense, the Nets will need him to show up on the defensive end as well if they want to cause an upset in Game 2. Bridges was focused on carrying the offense on Saturday and it worked for a decent chunk of the game as he kept the Nets in it for the first 2 quarters. I was surprised he wasn’t able to record a steal in that game, especially with the Sixers swinging the ball around the perimeter all night long. He’s averaging 1.1 steals per game over his last 10 appearances, during that stretch he’s had games with multiple steals 4 times, so I’m very optimistic he can record at least 1 in Game 2.

One of the main reasons the Nets got to the postseason was their stellar defense, as opponents averaged just 23.5 assists per game against them which was the 4th best mark in the league. They know a thing or two about stopping the ball movement, and if they are to stand any chance against Philly, they’ll have to be a lot more active on the defensive end.
