MLS Schedule 2021
The MLS is back, and with the newest of the expansion teams in Austin FC making their debut, there are more MLS games scheduled this season than ever before. Each of the 27 MLS teams will play a 34-match MLS schedule, with 17 home games and 17 on the road. The MLS regular season-opening weekend is scheduled to take place across April 16-18th with the opening game seeing Houston Dynamo host the San Jose Earthquakes at 7 p.m. ET
The Eastern Conference will consist of 14 teams, with 13 teams contesting the Western Conference.
The 14 Eastern conference teams will play six Eastern Conference teams three times, and the remaining seven Eastern Conference teams twice, as well as two cross-conference games against two different Western Conference Opponents.
11 of the 13 Western Conference teams will play eight Western Conference teams three times, and the remaining four Wester Conference teams twice, as well as two Eastern Conference teams to make their total of 34 matches.
Due to the odd number of teams in the Western Conference, the other two teams will play seven Western Conference teams three times, the remaining five Western Conference teams twice, as well as 3 Eastern Conference Teams.

Audi 2021 MLS Cup Playoffs Schedule
The 2021 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs are set to kick off on November 19th. The top 7 teams from the Eastern and Western Conferences will qualify for a place in the 2021 Audi MLS Cup playoffs, with the exact dates and format of the playoffs still yet to be released by the MLS. Check back throughout the season for updates on when and where the MLS Cup Playoffs will be played.

The MLS Cup, Major League Soccers’ championship game is scheduled to be played on December 11th, 2021, with kick-off at 3 p.m. ET and air on ABC, TSN, UniMas, and TVA Sports.

How Many Teams Are In The MLS
For the first time, in 2021 there will be 27 teams in the MLS.
Cincinnati FC joined the league in 2019, the 2020 MLS season saw the addition of two more teams in Nashville SC, and David Beckham’s new Miami-based franchise Inter Miami FC and 2021 will see Austin FC in their debut season.
