Our Analysis

The NHL’s Wednesday night slate features a matchup between the Boston Bruins and the New York Islanders. The Bruins look to avoid their second loss in as many nights as they lost to the Canucks on Tuesday. The Islanders look to get back in the win column as well after losing their last game to the Red Wings.

The Bruins have been terrible on the offensive side of the ice this year, logging zero goals scored against the Canucks, averaging only one goal per game over their last 4 games. They rank last in the league in goals per game, second last in power play percentage, and in the bottom third of the league in shots on goal per game. Their power play is 3-18 in their last 4 games, generating relatively zero chances. The Bruins are simply a tough watch right now.

The Islanders also struggle in the offensive zone, scoring 2.45 goals per game, which is 29th in the league. The only team that has a worse power play unit than the Bruins, is the Islanders, scoring a power play goal 12.7% of the time. The Islanders possess a terrible penalty kill as well, just above 70% which is 2nd worst in the league. However, this should be a non-factor due to the Bruins bad power play as of late, and the fact that the Islanders take the least amount of penalties in the league.

This game should be boring with very little action and scoring chances. I like the under in this one, with a goal or two to spare.

Boston Bruins vs New York Islanders Prediction: Under 5.5 (+100). Playable at that number.

Washington Capitals
Tampa Bay Lightning
WAS Capitals @ TB Lightning · Game Totals
Under 6.5
Our Analysis

The Washington Capitals continue their road trip looking to tap into the offense it showed in Monday’s 4-1 victory against the skidding defending champion Florida Panthers. The Caps had scored just three goals in the previous two games, the first two without Alex Ovechkin since he suffered a broken fibula. The good news is that Logan Thompson and Charlie Lindgren, as well as the defense, have allowed just six total games in the past three outings. The Under has cashed in each of the past three games, too. These teams also met once this season, with Washington suffering a 3-0 loss in Tampa on Oct. 26 as the Under (6.5) easily hit.

For the Lightning, the Over is 2-0-1 in the past three games, with the offense exploding for eight goals in a rout of the Colorado Avalanche. However, the Under is still 5-2-1 in the past eight games, and Andrei Vasilevskiy still has a strong 1.99 GAA in eight starts in the month of November. The Caps, who figured out how to score last time out against a giving Florida team, will find a lot more resistance in Tampa against Vasilevskiy.

Under 6.5 (-125) at time of publishing. Playable to -130.

Vegas Golden Knights
Colorado Avalanche
VGS Golden Knights @ COL Avalanche · Puck Line
VGS Golden Knights +1.5
Our Analysis

As part of a 15-game night in the NHL, we are treated to a matchup between two strong Western Conference teams in the Vegas Golden Knights and Colorado Avalanche. Each team owns a solid winning record and has a stacked roster, and to get you ready for this great matchup, we are here with our Golden Knights vs. Avalanche predictions.

Just as Colorado was gaining steam with a three-game winning streak, they were pummelled 8-2 at the hands of the Tampa Bay Lightning. In come the Golden Knights who have earned a 5-2-0 record in their last seven games, and are showing their true dominant self. Playing in Colorado is a bigger advantage for the home team than most arenas due to higher altitude, but I really like Vegas’ chances in this one as a substantial underdog. What is not to like in Vegas right now? They can score and defend at elite levels, they’ve gotten solid goaltending, and are getting contributions from their entire lineup, in many situations. It is near the top of the Western Conference. Colorado is a force to be reckoned with, but if Vegas can’t beat them outright, I still expect things to be close. Take Vegas on the +1.5 puck line as our Golden Knights vs. Avalanche prediction.

Golden Knights vs Avalanche prediction: Golden Knights +1.5 (-180) available at time of publishing. Playable to -200.

What Is An NHL Parlay Pick

An NHL parlay pick is a single bet in which you combine multiple selections, all of which have to win for the parlay bet to cash.

While NHL parlay picks are riskier than straight wagers, you can see considerably greater odds which increase with each selection you add to the parlay. Higher risk, but higher reward as you multiply the selections’ individual odds to calculate the NHL parlay’s combined odds.

Parlay bets are very popular amongst bettors and are used in many different strategies such as combining two or three big Moneyline favorites to enhance the odds when it’s poor value to place a straight wager on each pick.

The most common markets in NHL picks and parlays are Moneyline, Totals, and Puck Lines, with the last two markets offering odds around 6/1 (+600) for a three-team parlay and 12/1 (+1200) for a four-team parlay, with each selection individually priced around 10/11 (-110).

With multiple games played on any given game day, NHL parlays are a great way to have a wager and interest on multiple games on today’s best NFL parlay picks.

Our experts analyze every game of the NHL season, leaving no stone unturned in trying to find the best opportunities and strongest selections to combine into today’s best NHL parlay.
