Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has said how much he loves an international break, but he has had plenty to think about over the last few days after his team lost 4 straight games for the first time since he joined the club in July 2016. Perhaps he will gain some solace from the fact all of those losses, which have included defeats at Bournemouth and Brighton, and a Champions League thumping at Sporting Lisbon, have come on the road as he prepares for Tottenham’s trip to the Etihad. City’s poor run started in the League Cup at Spurs on October 30, which should give Ange Postecoglou’s team a lift and they have demonstrated they can be an issue for City in the past, winning 8 of their 21 games against the Spanish manager.
