Everton embark on a new era on Wednesday, albeit one with a very familiar feel, when they host Aston Villa with former head coach David Moyes back in charge of the Goodison Park club. Ex-manager Sean Dyche was dismissed last week ahead of the 2-0 FA Cup win over Peterborough and the club moved to bring back Moyes, who enjoyed a successful 11-year stint in charge of the Merseyside team between 2002 and 2013. Dyche’s sacking seems a little harsh as he had steadied the ship after a poor start to the season and as underdogs Everton would have appealed here irrespective of the change in manager.
