Washington Capitals vs Florida Panthers Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 11/25/24
Capitals vs Panthers Pickswise Expert Predictions
A new week kicks off in the NHL, giving us 11 games, including one between two Eastern Conference teams in the Washington Capitals and Florida Panthers. These 2 have both proven to be threats this season, as they’ve mustered a combined 25 wins in 41 games. It will be a great test for each, and we are here to provide our Capitals vs Panthers prediction to help see how it may play out.
Florida is deemed a heavy favorite in this one, largely because they are the home team and Washington is missing their leader Alex Ovechkin due to injury. However, I am not counting the Capitals out fully. Washington is 1-2-0 since their captain and superstar went down, but they should be hungry to prove to the league they do not run by one player. Their depth contributions have been the key to their success, and this should still allow them to compete with most teams. As a team, the Capitals still own the NHL’s top goals-per-game average (4.1 goals per game), while the Panthers own the NHL’s 8th-worst goals-against average (3.05). While this may not win Washington the game, it is a factor that could greatly help them out. Florida has also been playing poorly lately, going 0-3-0 in their last 3 games and being outscored 16-8. There is still lots to like in Washington, so even if they don’t win this game, I see them keeping it close. For my Capitals vs Panthers pick I’m taking Washington +1.5 on the puck line.
Capitals vs Panthers prediction: Capitals +1.5 (-165) available at time of publishing. Playable to (-175).
