Nashville Predators vs. New Jersey Devils Predictions, Odds and Picks for Today, 02/23/25

The New Jersey Devils travel to Nashville to take on the Predators for the second time this season. Both teams come into this game having played last night, so fatigue may start to settle in as the game goes on. There’s no question that Nashville has had a disappointing season, but they were able to hold Colorado to just 1 goal on route to a 2-1 victory. While that win must have felt good, the Devils are just as good and have lots of players who can fill the net.

On the season, New Jersey is scoring over 3 goals per game and are one of the best defensive teams in the NHL. The loss of Jacob Markstrom due to injury doesn’t help their case, but Jake Allen and Nico Daws have been able to shoulder the workload and give their team a chance to win every night. New Jersey also doesn’t allow a ton of shots against, so Nashville will need to work for their chances and take advantage of them. This game should be close, but New Jersey is the better overall team and they have more depth.
