Minnesota Wild vs St. Louis Blues Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 10/15/24
Wild vs Blues Pickswise Expert Predictions
The Minnesota Wild have played three games, and they’ve yet to lose in regulation. The Wild opened with a 3-2 win at home in regulation against the Columbus Blue Jackets, but they’ve lost in a shootout at home to the Seattle Kraken, and in overtime at Winnipeg. That means all three games have been decided by a single goal. They’re expected to turn to Marc-Andre Fleury to face the Blues. He went 0-1-2 with a 2.91 GAA and .900 SV% in three starts against St. Louis during the 2023-24 season.
The Blues are playing in their home opener after opening with three games out west. St. Louis picked up a hard-fought win in Seattle last Tuesday afternoon behind Jordan Binnington, and Jordan Kyrou was the offensive hero. The Blues also went down the San Jose and took care of the Sharks in overtime, 5-4, in a very exciting come-from-behind win. St. Louis was down 4-1 after two periods before storming back for the exciting win. It ran out of steam in Vegas, falling for the first time, but the Blues should be energized in front of the home fans for the first time. Binnington was very good against the Wild last season, posting three wins in four starts, while posting a 2.45 GAA and .915 SV%. It’s shocking that the Blues are underdogs at home, so let’s back St Louis in this one.
